Michelin Tire Manufacturers Increase Sales
The tire manufacturer Michelin closed last year with an increase in profits of 39.3 percent, and a thousand 460 million Euros.
Meanwhile, sales grew 15.8 percent over the previous year, about 20.719 million Euros.
Thanks to the high demand for cars and an increase in sales of trucks, Michelin did good business with direct sales to builders. To this is added a strong increase in sales of winter tires.
Also, in 2011 net sales of tires and related distribution line car and truck were € 10.780 billion, an increase of 10.1 percent through increased 3.9 percent in sales volume, price dynamics that was maintained throughout the year and the successful launch of Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Michelin Primacy Alpine HP MICHELIN 4.
Meanwhile net sales of tires and related distribution truck were € 6.718 million Euros, an increase of 18.3 percent. For the current year, the multinational company based in Clermont-Ferrand expects sales to remain stable. According to the company’s growth prospects in emerging countries are more favorable than in Europe, which is why it plans to open new plants in Brazil and China.
